How it works + What we do
African dance is authentic. Everyone is welcome in traditional, African dance.
This is definitely ‘out of the box’. Starting with a good-humoured, confidence-building warm-up, we move on to easy movements that energise and challenge the group. All ages (and past injuries) are accommodated, as the group learn a number of linked steps to the beat of our live drumming. The final performance is an expression of whole-body participation.
Or combine with African Drumming. Split the group - half drumming and half dancing. The dancers give colourful and energetic expression to their colleagues' music. Then we swap roles...
Best for an able-bodied group, although age and sex are no barriers. wera loose clothing - with layers. provide water for the breaks. Read more about African Dance.
