How it works + What we do

Participants are invited into a colourful seated circle of African djembe drums, with percussion instruments also to hand. We begin with tried-and-tested rhythm games, facilitating with style and humour.

Djembes are easy to play, with an authentic, earthy sound. Delegates learn to rumble, play call-and-response patterns, and team-up to play interlocking rhythms. They identify and applaud the different sounds and dynamics of the rhythm orchestra, and soon recognise themselves to be an essential part of the band.

We end with a high-energy musical celebration, bringing everything together in a bonding team performance.

Talk to us about room size - ideally it should be large enough for delegates to sit in a circle. Ask people to wear loose clothing - no tight skirts!
