How it works + what we do

Opera and its powerful impact on 'rooky' singers has recently been popularised and celebrated in reality television shows, such as 'The Singing Estate', and films such as 'The Chorus'.

In our opera sessions participants learn a rousing chorus from a well known opera, culminating in an orchestrated presentation. In the process they hone skills around listening, co-operation and confidence in a group.

Our facilitator teaches the music in easy stages, using playful exercises to add each new element – melody, words, harmony, pitch. The emphasis of the day is on creativity, fun and participation in a relaxed, stress-free environment. No singing experience is necessary.
